Be Careful Of Having Little Faith

God existed long before:

  • horses
  • carriages
  • automobiles
  • buses
  • trucks
  • trains
  • planes

God created heaven and earth and his reign will never retire. NEVER!!

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Gleaming from Genesis 1:2, we see faith (as a substance) was present when God started, its existence and the movement of Gods Spirit made things happen.

The combination of faith and Gods Spirit still exist. In fact it was entrusted to Jesus who
entrusted it to his followers.

Now Jesus was part God and man. The God side of him contained the combination of faith and Spirit. And he called the man side into subjection while dismissing unbelief.

Many times Jesus addressed ‘little faith:’

Matthew 6:30, “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”

Matthew 8:26, “And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”

Matthew 16:8, “Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?”

Matthew 14:31 “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

These verses make me realize there are three levels of faith:

  • faith
  • little faith
  • no faith

Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Here we can conclude:

  • little faith disappoints Jesus
  •  no faith displeases God

Faith according to Matthew 13 has no size requirement:

31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

But faith in Matthew 6 is a requirement in the kingdom of God:

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Don’t be afraid to announce to naysayer friends and family that you’ve moved and now your a faith-filled resident of God’s Kingdom!!!
